sometimes life is like poetry ...

Posted on September 29, 2008 by Judith Meskill

life in haiku form
economy of phrasing
wrapped in blank newsprint ...

sometimes life is like poetry, and sometimes it makes every muscle in your body ache in the biggest, badest way ...

i moved ... again ... i think this is the twentieth time that i've uprooted, shaken the soil off, and moved myself, my home, and my life ... this time i was busy moving while we at crowd fusion were launching obsessable.com, and while the u.s. economy was coming apart at the seams, and while my material life was spilling into so many different boxes, buckets and moving trucks that i'm certain some of my parts are still scattered between here and there ...

shouts out to our 'dream team' members: brian alvey, randall bennett, evan blass, veronique christensen, barb dybwad, steve friedman, c.k. sample, ryan scheuermann, russel werner, and craig wood -- along with the help of nicholas hance, and kyle sollenberger -- for shaping obsessable to be, well, obsessable.

and to our talented group of freelance authors/curators: matthew bitner, lenny brown, keoni chavez, martin conaghan, blake dudash, matthew eddy, greg elliott, jeremy goldstone, stephen schenck, james murff, and mike sciannamea, for their daily words ...

crowd fusion dream team ...

Posted on September 26, 2008 by Judith Meskill

after spending the day packing, and the evening moving in the rain - more of a mist than a downpour, thankfully - and watching my nephew and a friend of his lifting double dish packs on their backs (amazing!) i just dragged myself online, checked twitter, and found this awesome article on our 'blogging dream team', by marshall kirkpatrick of readwriteweb. if you don't follow marshall on twitter, you should - his no nonsense, incisive tweets are always a breath of fresh air ... cheers & thanks for the comprehensive coverage of crowd fusion and obsessable, marshall!

obsessable - personal technology ...

Posted on September 24, 2008 by Judith Meskill

following brian's lead, here is obsessable's blog format news listing, for people who like to read the whole site in a single page.

and here are some of his favorite product profiles:

unlike brian, i don't have all of these devices (except brian doesn't have the unreleased Storm and the Android phone, a matter of time i say!)

a very cool thing that we are doing with obsessable is providing our first application that we've built on top of our data, the comparator:

i've received great feedback from some of my 'ungeekier' friends, saying things like: "obsessable is very cool, judith. i have found it easy to use and very informative - even for me to understand. well done!" which reinforces for me that we are doing a good thing with obsessable in making personal tech more personal for a wider audience. sweet ... /smile
