purple center majesty
spring magic afoot ...

this watercolor sunflower did rush
from brush to scanner with the greatest ease
and softly whispered "flickr" in a hush
"now put me on your weblog if you please!"

and when i saw this flower on my walk,
the pure romance of petals drew me in,
i held my breath, as if to hear it talk,
of some sweet secrets sealed softly within.

"who cleaned my clock?!" the dandelion cried
"twas quite the shock to find my pappi flown!
you'll never know how very hard i tried
to keep my calyx anchored 'til full-blown!"

blue skies in her eyes

in the gentle breeze
nascent fern and trillium
fairy garden friends

nestled in golden petals

this curly-faced daffodil winked at me
"i'm flickr-flavored eye candy" it said,
"now write a one-verse sonnet and you'll see,
how quickly you can blog this from your bed!"

(she said, from bed, with hives (not diamonds)on the soles of her feet!!!)

"It's here or Mars!" i heard a neighbor say
"Let's tidy up the planet, make it last."
naive, i thought, continuing my day
(but if we're gonna do it, let's be fast!)

a year ago i blogged this dogwood tree -
with blossoms floating high above the ground -
in bloom again, it's pretty as can be,
my flickr sharing mojo i've re-found!

these goslings tumbled out onto the lake
they fell face first, and then they got upright
a gentle ripple did their webbed feet make
so proud in front of 'momma', a sweet sight ...
